London From Above For Under £5

This time I wanted to show you 4 great locations in London where you can great views even if you are traveling on budget. Two of these locations are completely free and other two are just under £5.

Sky Garden. Sky Garden is located on 35th floor in 20 Fenchurch Street building. It is completely free but you have to plan this in advance and book a ticket. You can book your ticket here.

It is really easy to find it. The closest station is underground station is Monument (District and Circle lines). And it's less than 5 minutes walk.

Monument. Monument is a historical location. It was built in 1677 to remember a Great Fire of London. It costs £4.50 (even though on Monuments website is written that it's £4.00). Keep in mind that no cards are accepted and you have to pay cash. Also to get to upstairs to have to take the stairs and there are 311 steps.

And the same as for Sky Garden the closest station is Monument (District and Circle lines).

One New Change. One New Change is just next to St. Paul's Cathedral. It's completely free and no need to book. One New Change is a shopping centre so keep that in mind if you are not if you arrived to the right location. It's not as tall as the first two locations. The rooftop terrace is located on 6th floor but you still get nice views.

The closest stations are St. Paul's (Central line) and Mansion House (District and Circle lines).

Emirates Air Line. It's not really a location but I would call it more a service. This cable car service across Thames is part of public transport in London. If you have Oyster card or travelcard, the ticket will cost you £3.50. If you don't have any of these, then it will cost you £4.50. These prices are for a single journey. For return ticket prices double the price.

It's not busy because it's not very popular service and a lot of Londoners are making fun of it. But it has nice views of East London, Canary Wharf and O2 Arena. So if you are looking for something different, I think it's worth a trip.

To get to to Emirates airline you can take DLR to Royal Victoria station or Jubilee line to North Greenwich. From both of these station there will be a lot of very clear signs how to get to the Emirates Air Line.
